Talented artist Karina Kersilyan from Fedoskino is represented here her work as creative genius with a dash of realism. A pair of forest mushrooms peeping from three-dimensional leaves look fantastically natural! The mushrooms presented here are called "cep" or "white mushrooms". Russian mushroomers value them highly because of their delicious taste.
Known for her clever boxes with three-dimensional elements carved from them, Karina Kersilyan of Fedoskino takes her art a step further by making the entire piece more a sculpture than a box! These mushrooms as it has been said above peep from three-dimensional leaves, has a small bud from a birch tree. What's more surprising is that the top section of the big mushroom opens on a hinge to reveal a small square compartment, it is a box after all!
The piece rests on a flat bottom, and is signed with Karina's first name on the bottom. A unique addition to any collection!
