Margarita Belova is the exceptional talent behind this work of art. The box shows a pretty girl wearing the wreath and holding a kitten in her hands. The palette is dominated by greens and blues that help to create a sensation a warm summer day. Brilliant gold paint is used to detail the girl's kerchief and the cupolas of the cathedrals.
The box's exterior is elegantly decorated. The scene painted on the box's lid is framed with a shining gold scan pattern (made of tiny shapes hand punched from gold metal sheets, and then glued to the box manually). On the box's sides the artist has painted many thin, golden threads that resemble a cobweb.
The box is made out of high quality paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino.
