This box is painted on the traditional theme of peasant everyday life. A lad is playing the accordion and the girl is dancing to his accompaniment. Peasants start to feel the festive atmosphere.
The artist demonstrates his unsurpassed skill while painting the character's festive attire. Painting with an ultra fine brush, he creates exquisite gold lace texture of the dresses. The effect of festivity is strengthened by several pieces of mother-of-pearl of different colors inlaid into their costumes: green in ladies dresses; two white ones shines through the walls of wooden houses!
The edges of the lid are decorated with gold ornaments.
The box is made out of paper-mache made. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box.
The sides of the box are imitates the color of a brown marble. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition and rests on four small round legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2016 and the village of Fedoskino.
