It is the original work painted by renowned artist Olga Strunina. Olga is a daughter of famous Mstera artist Lev Fomichev. She has taken the skill inherited from her father and added her own flair and talent to become an accomplished artist in her own right. She is now married to Konstantin Strunin, another well-known artist.
The composition is called "And It's Spring Again". In the foreground we can see the village people enjoying the time when everything is blossoming, and every creature wants to love and to be loved. In the foreground one of the guys plays the accordion, while another one flirts with the beautiful young girls depicted to the left from them. In the background the artist depicts the rainbow over the Moscow Kremlin.
The composition is framed with a gold line, while the edges of the lid are decorated with beautiful gold floral patterns. The sides of the box are adorned with the similar gold floral patterns accented with green and red tempera paints.
The box is constructed from paper-mache made. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while a lively red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge has been fastened to the top of the composition and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed, titled and dated (2005) by the artist.
