This attractive nesting doll has been made in the ancient Russian town of Sergiev Posad. The set includes ten wooden dolls decorated with brilliant gold patterns. Each of them features a pink-cheeked merry girl who wears kokoshnik, a kerchief and an apron decorated with gold floral designs. Working on this work the artist has applied the unique technique of poker-work. So, all designs and details of brown color are not painted but burnt out with the help of a special device. It's excellent work that inspires the viewer with festive mood!
